Torsion Testis

It’s condition in which testicle of child twists on itself causing severe pain and swelling in the scrotum(crotch). This may result in obstruction to the blood supply to the testicle and damage to it.

Unless it is treated immediately by a pediatric surgeon testicle suffer irreparable damage and may required to be removed.

Symptoms: sudden onset pain in scrotum; vomiting; swelling of scrotum

Treatment: Immediate surgery with derotation of testicle and fixation of both testis.
