Redness of breast in newborn
It is normal to have small nodule like swelling in breast of your boy or girl baby. it is due to mother’s hormonal withdrawal from baby’s blood.
There is no need squeeze the breasts to extract/remove discharge(witch’s milk ) . This will cause inflammation, infection and abscess formation in the breast. Infection and abscess formation will require antibiotics and/or drainage. It may also result in breast deformation in adult life.
